Happy Healthy Holidays

We love the holidays and all the time spent with family & friends. We love our holiday treats, too! (Ok, truth - we love those treats a LOT.) We are staying the course in 2015 with one of our core Merritt+Grace values: health & fitness, even in the cold weather. Luckily in Colorado, "cold weather" can mean a beautiful sunny hike in Boulder while we discuss business.

What are some other ways you can incorporate health into your day?
  • Drink water. A lot of it. To figure out how much water you need, divide your body weight in half. The answer is the approximate number of water ounces you should drink daily. 
  • Move. Set a reminder to get up from your desk and move every 30 min. There are so many options - walk a flight of stairs, lap the office a few times, or do a rep of 10 exercises right at your desk such as squats, push-ups, lunges, etc. Invite co-workers to join you.
  • Plan for those yummy treats. Know you'll be eating pizza rustica (Allison's favorite holiday tradition) leftovers? Plan to burn calories that day with your favorite exercise so you can enjoy treats and minimize the impact to your health.
